The University of Chicago Hospitals Memory Center Asthma Center Elmhurst College |
A collaborative effort of Blink Designworks and Kate Friedman Design, the Memory Center site is one of a series of “boutique” sites created to feature a special set of patient programs and research projects which are supported by the doctors and staff at the University of Chicago Hospitals. In addition to providing information about the exceptional services offered to patients with memory disorders, the site was also designed to serve as a source of general information for the public, and technical information about ongoing research and the fellowship program for health professionals. The site specification called for an intuitive, easy to use interface, a high degree of backwards compatibility, and an internal structure which could be easily revised, expanded, and maintained by the hospital’s in-house production staff. The production schedule was tight, and the budget very limited. |
